Reponse to CNN Opinion Article (It’s time for ‘equal’ to mean equal)

Your actions in pursuing this legal course in 2003 has negatively impacted our country and has sent us back to pre-1968 days in terms of access to education for Black & Brown scholars across this country. Parting Words Of Advice

“Racism is alive and well. I will still be viewed as a nigger (I don’t mean that in a nice way) and you as illegal immigrant (whether it is true or not), a wetback who was given a break and didn’t get into medical school by our own merit. Do not be decieved.” Continue reading

TO BE OR NOT TO BE A HOUSE SLAVE (PART I)

To let them know that I meant business, I spraychalked the campus with the message “KKK EST. 1906 at UIUC” after being disgusted with their actions (or lack thereof). I chalked this fact outside of the Medical School Building the night before recruitment weekend. I did this to wake people up to our history of ignorance at U of I with a concrete example of institutional support for exclusion on our campus. Continue reading
